If youre used to holding your iPhone in portrait when taking videos, Landscape Cam will format your video so it looks wide and not tall.
Q: When I shoot video in Portrait mode do I loose resolution?
A: Yes, in order to display video that is shot in Portrait mode, we cut off the top and bottom of the video.
Q: How much resolution will I loose?
A: About 2/3rd of the original video will be lost. If your camera is set to record 1920×1080 (aka 1080p), then in order to show that video in Landscape we record at 1080×606.
Q: Can I record at full resolution?
A: Yes, but you have to hold your iPhone sideways, in Landscape mode.
Q: Can I change from Portrait to Landscape once I start recording?
A: No, once you hit the record button you will stay in the orientation you started in.
